Let’s talk kid’s clothes. Raising two girls I may have blinders on when it comes to gender styling because it’s all I know. But now that I am prego with a boy its a fun, slightly challenging, change. Before I started shopping for this baby my friends would tell me how unfair most stores were with the percentage of girls to boys clothing. The little boys clothing sections were usually smaller with bleak colors and subjected to cartoon t-shirts, football themed pajamas, and stripes on everything else. Not that anything is truly wrong with these options if that is what you like, but is it so bad expect more?? As you venture to the little girls clothing, all of a sudden everything gets bright and colorful with an assortment of options in styles and tastes. And don’t get me started on the shoes. Here are some uniquely special places to shop for both genders that I have come to love and hopefully you will to.
I have been following this brand Tiny Whales for a while and always loved their stuff. As much as I like a sweet, ethereal style look for my girls, some days they really like the cool comfortable duds. I also love that a lot of tops are gender neutral so I know the girls would wear it and I can save it for the bebe boy. The prints are always so great and the tank tops and dresses are absolutely perfect for summer. I can’t get enough of this unique store!
AlexandAlexa is a one stop shop for your kids clothes, girl or boy, baby to teen, from hundreds of designers. So many different styles and trends to match your child’s personality. It may seem overwhelming at first because there is so much to choose from but if you are looking for a special piece for a specific event you will find it here. The prices range from hight to low but there they do run sales and off a discounted section where I have spotted some good finds.
Ragstoraches.com is such a unique and cool kid’s site with a collection of different rompers. I love the designers story because she started creating pieces for her own toddler that was “comfortable and practical.” Somehow she has seemed to achieve that but also make each piece one of a kind with different patterns, designs, and prints. I love the creativity and fun from these clothes.
Love love love this store. The Bee and the Fox is full of simple yet confident style clothing with and ode to vintage character. They carry t shirts and onesies with sweet shout outs to mom or dad that can be worn with anything. Match or coordinate with your little ones because they also sell tops for moms with sayings like,” Mamacita, Mama Bird, and Pick Flowers Not Fights.” So classic but simply 70s.
The Bonnie Mob is a special place to shop well made, good quality pieces for your kids. Their motto is “Buy once, buy well, pass it on.” They believe in producing clothes for your children that are functional and durable so you can pass them on to the next child. So many cute pieces and designs made of organic cottons, lightweight knits, and soft terry denim. It all just makes me smile.
