I know I know I’m excited for Christmas TOO people but let’s just take one step back for second and enjoy Thanksgiving. I know it’s a lot to ask because it is VERY easy to get swept up in the magic of the Holidays but give me a few minutes to simply redirect the focus on Thanksgiving dinner. Not so much the “dinner” part tho, to be honest… we can give that responsibility to someone else…. but mainly just the table decor. For some of us, that part is more exciting. Until it’s time to actually eat. Then all I want to do is stuff my face. So let’s get down to the nitty gritty. I have put together a list of some of my favorite table decor pieces for Thanksgiving and there is still plenty of time to pick them up or order them online.
So these Amber Pressed Glasses from Cost Plus are the perfect pieces mixed with perfect price for a Thanksgiving dinner. They have that fancy vintage vibe that, I don’t know about you, but I am always trying to achieve. Not a goblet person? Go with the cups because at $19.99 for 4 it’s a steal. What if you didn’t even use them for drinks but put some autumn colored flowers in there instead? Just a thought.
Throw this felted woodsy garland from Amazon down the middle of the table and it basically sets the whole scene. You don’t really need much else besides the food and dinnerware. Love how it incorporates pinecones, little wood accents, and felted balls giving me all the crafty feels.
I can FULLY appreciate the idea of a craft for the kids at the Thanksgiving table. The “make your own” placemats from Hobby Lobby are half price right now and include enough for 8 kids. You decide when the best time to decorate them would be, if it’s before or during, or after dinner as they are waiting for everyone else to eat. Either way it is a great way for them to keep their hands and minds busy. And make something cute!
So these placemats from Target are very different but both just the right touch for Thanksgiving. Anything in the mustard fall color palette or that sort of wicker rope texture would be great to set the table with. I love a beautiful table cover but if you don’t want to necessarily cover it up, these placemats would be a good choice!
Now I currently live in a 1100 square foot home where I am using every inch and cranny to it’s full potential. Our table is adorable but tiny. Petite. So this particular suggestion wouldn’t work in my case but if you have a big table and definitely want to set the scene try this out. Set one of these gorgeous autumn wreaths from Joanns in the center of your table and set one of your serving bowls filled with some thing delicious in the center. OR….fill the center with different height cream candles. Just remember to use a coupon that could get you 40 to 50% off online or in the store. Click on any of the photos for the original link!
I have always loved the Mud Pie collection of timeless servingware on Amazon. They are consistently always white ceramic pieces with special little sayings that make them so unique and dare I also say….elegant? Not a huge fan of the word but they are the perfect combination of hip, and fancy. Definitely the kind of dishes that I would keep forever.
