So over Christmas we found out we’re having a baby boy! Which came as a bit of a shock at first because I totally assumed it would be another girl since I already had two of them. It was definitely an exciting surprise with some mixed emotions and one overly enthused husband. I was a little nervous at first because change can be hard for me but it’s a good change and I can’t wait. But I am starting from total scratch… which could be a little scary and fun at the same time. First off, the nursery. Coming up with a nursery design takes some thought so I want to share some of these ideas with you. Boho Baby Boy? That’s where I am starting and I will se where it will take me.
Cactus Stamp Rug
Um I’m in love with with this Cactus Rug from Nordstrom for $299. Now to be totally honest, part of me wishes it was a brighter color because I go back and forth about designing with the color black for some reason but this is great inspiration of a bold fun pattern.
Paper Mache Woodland Critter Mobile
Adorable campfire mobile from Land of Nod for $59.99 is the perfect little touch to hang over the crib. The paper mache design gives it that charming homemade feel that works so well for a nursery. Would also look great hanging on the wall after the babe outgrows the crib. So simple and sweet.
UM yes to both of these totally affordable and adorable Target pillows. The colorful triangle pillow is on sale for only $13.59 for the next few days but normally only $16.99 if you happened to miss the discount. Then the patch style gray pillow is also on sale for $13.59. These are definitely a steal of a deal with these prices. Target you never disappoint me.
Fine Little World Poster
Colorful Woven Wall Hanging
Add some soft textured wall hangings in your boys baby room with some woven wall hangings. There are a variety on Etsy to choose from if you wanted less or more colors but this on is $86.21 from Wefthouse. This one has great pops of color and unique designs.
Crochet Decorative Cacti
So these are handmade crochet stuffed cacti with colorful trim from The South is Blooming ranges from $20 for one and $62 for three. So much crafty love has been put into the details of these adorable fake plants. Comes in three different sizes with hand dyed yarn.
Sambaya Lamp Ensemble
I mean. Found it. The perfect piece. I am still struggling back and forth if I want to incorporate some black into the lighthearted fun vintage color vibes of the room but this lamp is everything. The simple jute shade with the super bold design is a great combination. Definitely a little pricier at $168 from Anthropologie. Just remember if you are on a budget it doesn’t always mean you have to give up something a little more expensive that makes a bold statement. It just means putting extra effort into finding other affordable pieces for the room to balance out the costly ones. May seem like an obvious observation but just something to keep in mind when designing a room.
